Interest in Triathlon:I competed in my first triathlon in 2000 It was the Oban off road triathlon, it was great fun and very muddy. Shortly after competing in this race I joined Edinburgh triathletes and learned to swim properly, improving my times immensely. I joined the coaching team at ET 2005. Completing my level 1 and level 2 at the club. Marriage and children brought a break from competition and a focus on coaching.

Major Events competed in: All Ireland Cross-country championships, All Ireland 5000 meter championships, Dublin Pro-Am MTB classic, Irish National MTB championships, Scottish Triathlon championships, Iron Man South Africa, European Duathlon Championships, British long course MTB championships and Adventure Racing World Series.

Why do you coach?:I enjoy helping people active their goals, as a young athlete coaches were instrumental in helping me achieving my goals. Inspirational coaching can be a key to changing people lives for the better and help develop lifelong skills, knowledge and attitudes that hopefully will stay with athletes throughout their lives.

Long term personal and club goal:A personal coaching goal, is to gain my level 3 accreditation with a focus on becoming expert in strength and conditioning for endurance athletes. My ambitions for our club are to ensure our junior athletes enjoy coming to training and stay in the sport, supported through to a senior level. I would like ensure every athletes reaches their potential and their own personal goals. Making PTJ a fun safe place to be.
